Where can I pick up aftermarket (or used) 10/22 recievers? I have a krinker plinker kit, but don't have a 10/22 rifle to put it on. I dont really want to buy a brand new rifle, just to strip it for the reciever, but it looks like I might have to. Any ideas? And just to make sure, the only part of the 10/22 I need for the kit is the reciever, correct? Thanks. 8)

Volquartsen makes 10/22 receivers... but it'd be cheaper to just buy a junker. Seriously, I think that's your only source. You can always sell the parts attached to it, and make a bit back.

canucklehead gives good advice. Finding just the receiver alone is like looking for a needle in a haystack.

Buy a used one and sell the parts.

I usually buy a whole 10/22 as cheap as you can find one. I bought a complete rifle for $45 off a CGN member. Had a cracked stock, missing front sight, bent barrel and damaged chamber. Needless to say it was a flawless Krinker project! hehe. All you need is the receiver, V barrel block with bolts, bolt assembly and trigger group.

You could always sell off your Krinker kit for a large profit... i've got a WHOLE bunch of people looking for one, and they arn't producing the kits right now... Is your kit a version 2.0 (easiest was to tell is check the rear sight, is it a dual aperature?)
