I don't know how many people actually use their factory rotary mags, so I'm just putting this out there to see if there's any interest. Would anyone be interested in an extension for 10/22 rotary mags that replicates the size and shape of AR mags?

This is just a prototype, the production versions would be longer and replicate a USGI 20 or 30. Any input?

Something similar to this for my AR22 kit would be sweet! As my mag 10 rounder sits about an inch or so inside the magwell and I cant use the battledyne mags or the promags, cause of the goofy shaped magwell.

lemme know if youd like some pics

Pics would be great. So to be compatible with your magwell, there would need to be a sort of neck extending from the top of the extension? With all of the aftermarket chassis available, getting the length right might get difficult.

I would like to see several different adapters that attach to the BX-1 and allow the real magazines to be attached (modified with feed lips removed). You could sell just the adapters and let customers supply their own magazines, and you could sell sets of adapters and modified mags.

Mags: 20 & 30 round metal 5.56 mags, 20 and 30 round P mags, 20 & 30 round Thompson mags, 20 round M1 mags, etc.

I'd be in for a couple mag extensions. The fiancé had difficulty getting them out sometimes and an extension would make it easier and there for more fun which will mean more shooting time for me.

It inserts into the void where the Ruger logo is at the bottom of the mag and there is a part that clamps into the void at the front you use to finger the mag out of the magwell. I'll get better photos up tomorrow.

I have a dozen factory mags, But I use HIGH TOWER ARMORY couplers to get grip....

But a extension for chassis system would be nice....

seriously though i see two reasons for this.
1) nothing beats the BX-1 for reliability in loading the 10/22, most of us who have shot 10/22's for 20/30 years have all but given up on the bigger mags because of failures. but the biggest drawback from the BX-1 is that its a flush mount mag so it can be hard to get ahold of some times. this would give you meat hanging down that you can grab easier and faster, thats what i like about this.
2) is aesthetics. what fun is a ugly gun?

Id be down for a ar style mag, kind of like the one gcdavidson has on his sr22 build. Make a nice finish to any photoshoot

I would be down for a few of these if they would fit into the Archangel Marauder/Nomad. Wouldn't be looking for anything long. Just something of an AR15 type that sticks out beyond the magwell to get a grip and easier to seat, But not longer than the pistol grip to make bench shooting easier.
