10/22 scope mounting

I just pulled a full sized scope off another rifle and decided that I want to put it on a 10/22.

The factory rail is of course too narrow for the rings I have on the scope.

Anyone know of any fast remedies for this?

Change the base or change the rings.

change the base to a weaver T0-9 (T0-9M = Matte, T0-9S = Silver) all gun stores will carry them and your weaver style rings will fit.

also P&D does have Volq. Scope Rails in stock according to diane, the weaver rail will be under $15 while the Volq. one will be around $35-$45.

I was looking at bases in the Russell's catalog but wasn't sure what would work best and easily.
