10/22 scope rail machine bolt size

Never had a scope on my 10/22 - 20something years. Eyes aren't as good as they were so it's optics time. Still have the base but not the machine bolts. Anyone know the size - 3mm metric or some weird size standard? They are definitely not 4mm or #6 / 32
 
Gun manufacturers dont always use conventional thread screws. You may be a lot better off just to order some stock screws or see a gunsmith at a store that sells them-he may have some spares to part with.

If you have a Ruger dealer near you that has a gunsmith they may have a spare ramp and screw set too-should be cheap enough as they are included with the rifles. People lose stuff so they should have something for you.
