10/22 scope recommendations

Either Sightron SIH 2-7X35 rimfire or Vortex rimfire either in the Cf or Db line. One nice scope for rimfire is the Vortex Db HP 2-8X32 with side focus. Got one on my CZ 452 Lux. More $ but very nice. If you want a 3-9, Nikon has the Prostaff rimfire line. A 4 to 12 is more in your liking, well Sightron SIH 4-12X40 AO HHR would be my choice. Yes, if you have the funds, a Leopold rimfire is up there. Ho yea, Nikon Prostate 3-9X? EFR is probably not bad either.

I put a Redfield TAC-22 on mine. It's a 2-7x34. It comes with an extra elevation dial. From the factory the dial is in minutes, or you can replace with a bullet drop compensation dial. Pre-marked from 50yards to 150 yards. Once you zero in with your favourite flavour of .22, just set the dial to your distance and fire away.

I use a Nikon prostaff 2-7 for distances out to 100 yards. Good scope at a reasonable price. Simmons also has a fixed 4x and a 3-9 scope for around $60 bucks. I have the fixed 4x on my Marlin 795 and it is perfect. I've put a thousand rounds through each one and have had zero issues with both scopes. The bushnell 2-7 with the 22lr drop reticle had my interest but got a great deal on the nikon so I went with that.

It depends on the distances and how comfortable you are. I've found the 2-7 great for 100 yards, some find it a little "small" and want more. Its a personal choice. I tried my sightron 8-32x56 on my dlask 10-22 and it was awesome :) You should be good with the 2-7, unless you want more. The typical magnification choices are 3-9, 2-10, 4-16, 6-24. There are cost effective 3-9 from Simmons and others if you wanted a slight bump up from 2-7.

I installed a $100.00 Bushnell Banner 3x9x40 on mine, it works great for me out to a 100 yards Its one of my favorites to shoot.

Hey Ryefish,

It looks like I am a little late to the party because there are some great suggestions already posted, but being a 10/22 owner/lover myself, I figured I'd share my input as well. Really, it comes down to how far out you are wanting to shoot accurately and what magnification you will be shooting at. If you plan on solely shooting within 50 yards, going with a rimfire specific scope would be your most economically sound option. With a rimfire scope the paralax is set to 50 yards, rather than 100 yards, so you won't get any reticle blur if you're looking at a target within 50 yards at full magnification. A great option is the already mentioned Vortex Crossfire II 2-7x32 rimfire scope, which retails for $199.99. This scope is a great value for the money and I think you would be really happy with the performance within 50 yards. If you want to go with a rifle scope with a 100 yard paralax, you will get more magnification range options to make longer shots, but you will just have to be on a lower magnification for close shots. I personally use an older Bushnell 3-9x40 on mine and it works great for me. If you would like to chat with me or one of my team members on the subject (if you haven't already landed on an option), please feel free to give us a call at 1-877-547-6873 and we would be happy to help.

I have a Bushnell 3-9 x 40 on my daughters 10/22 and HATE it. Make sure if you do get a scope it is AO so you can adjust for parallax and get as sharp a sight picture as possible.

I would recommend against a Simmons scope for a 10/22. I had the 3-9 x 32 Simmons scope and the repeated vibrations from the gun has managed to destroy part of the reticle (i.e. it's falling apart). If I could go back I would've got a Vortex scope with a similar level of magnification.

Not many paper shooters on this thread... you can't hit what you can't see... for targets at 50m and 100m, I prefer at least 18X and 24X and 32X are not too much. I have a Leupold VX-2 6-18X40mm AO on my 77/22. For a plinker or hunter a 2-7 or 3-9 is fine.

I tried the Nikon Prostaff EFR on my 10/22 , now i have 3, one on each of my rimfires, lol. Very clear glass, great reticle, $210. I have only positive things to say about Nikon scopes.
