Hey Ryefish,
It looks like I am a little late to the party because there are some great suggestions already posted, but being a 10/22 owner/lover myself, I figured I'd share my input as well. Really, it comes down to how far out you are wanting to shoot accurately and what magnification you will be shooting at. If you plan on solely shooting within 50 yards, going with a rimfire specific scope would be your most economically sound option. With a rimfire scope the paralax is set to 50 yards, rather than 100 yards, so you won't get any reticle blur if you're looking at a target within 50 yards at full magnification. A great option is the already mentioned Vortex Crossfire II 2-7x32 rimfire scope, which retails for $199.99. This scope is a great value for the money and I think you would be really happy with the performance within 50 yards. If you want to go with a rifle scope with a 100 yard paralax, you will get more magnification range options to make longer shots, but you will just have to be on a lower magnification for close shots. I personally use an older Bushnell 3-9x40 on mine and it works great for me. If you would like to chat with me or one of my team members on the subject (if you haven't already landed on an option), please feel free to give us a call at 1-877-547-6873 and we would be happy to help.
