10/22 Short conversion

Looking for info on the kit to convert a 10/22 to fire shorts, or longs preferred.
Are they available in Canada? Any feedback on actual use would be helpful.

I bought a VQ 22 short mag for my 10/22, love it. I have to manually cycle the bolt, but it's great.

You can also get a bolt and spring assembly to cycle 22 shorts, but it's around $225 and why limit yourself? Manually cycling the bolt is no big deal when you have a mag that feeds them reliably.

why the interest in short and long ammo in a 1022? only thing i ever cycle besides LR in any of my 22's is CCI CB's (quiet). for the price of the conversion bolt you could buy a couple of cooey model 60's, 39's or 75's. Why not just pick up one of them?
