Cassifly as a shorty now with out the can.
Care to write out the break-down of this build? I think it looks great and may be interested in using some of your ideas for a build of my own.
You're project has inspired me to do something similar. I'm curious though how your set-up would look with flip-up AR iron sights. That's one thing I want to add to the UTG rail.

The set up is simple.
Utg rail
Dlask 12.5" factory contour
M1A butt plate intergated to the stock
Now with AR bird cage style muzzle brake which goes very well with the over all look of the gun
When I have spare cash around I'll buy a vq trigger group. I also scored an old school metal trigger housing in a deal so I'm gonna throw that on when I do my trigger

Ive been thinking to put some flip up sights on but the problem is they might be too high for this style of stock set up. I'm gonna pull one off my friend and see how high they sit. Right now I just use the grove on the top rail to aim when I'm not using the aimpoint. Which works suprisingly well.

legal length is 31 inches with the dlask 12.5 barrel and without the fake can. i wanted to go shorter but the way that stock is set up there is nothing much i could do.
What's the fake can like? Is it hollow inside or is it just a solid chunk of aluminum? Removable end-cap?

This what I plan to do, with some photoshop work, when I eventually get my Dlask 12.5 barrel from Fabsport.
