10/22 sight question

I have a Dlask receiver and 12' barrel, (built in rail, heavy barrel) I would like to put open sights on it, any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately the best Iron sights, Tech Sights, available mount to the standard receiver scope mount holes.

This is the reason I am building my Dlask build with a standard receiver. Tech sights makes an adapter that will fit on the bull barrel that has a dovetail for the front sight, but that rear receiver makes things impossible.

You will have to look at barrel mounted options, and have dovetails cut into the barrel or have it drilled and tapped to mount the sights.

I would probably consider selling the Dlask receiver, and going back to the original, and then going with the Tech Sights. The Dlask receiver is useless if you aren't scoping the gun anyways.

Ok, I haven't ruled out glass optics, I could use a compact scope or some sort of 'heads up sight', any thoughts? Thanks.

For the money a Bushnell TRS red dot would be a good choice.

For a good compact scope a Leupold VX1 1-4x20 would be a good option.

I am also a fan of the Leupold VX1 2-7x28 rimfire which is nice and compact.

The problem with a compact scope with the Dlask receiver is that even with low rings the scope is elevated really high because of the rail height.

I guess I am just not a fan of those receivers. lol

+1 for the trs-25! I'm a convert! If you shop around you can find it for $115 with high riser.

No but I sold my riser and lowered the cost of the trs-25! Most companies sell the rds or rds and riser for the same price.

One of my 10/22s is sporting a Bushnell 2x MP 'AR optic' originally purchased thru Wanstalls. I love the 2x magnification, and the green t-dot is stellar for indoor ranges.

The TRS-25 is a good product, yet I find it more suited to my MKIII hunter.

I did a build on a railed Dlask reciever this Christmas and had the same overhight scope issues. The options seemed quite limited on what I thought looked good and I ended up putting a low power mint Japanese scopechief on it. I would honestly reconsider the reciever and save it for a build with a larger scope. The tech sights are awesome! I have 3 1022s with them on (2 of the 100 series( preferred) and 1 200 series). One of them has the bull barrel adaptor on an 8" Dlask barrel and it's used much more then the rest.
