That page seems to have been taken from (or to?) the Sayeret pages of the IDF, where I saw it some years ago. Some points to note:
However, as often happens in the shoestring budget IDF, financial problems prevented the weapon's mass distribution, and it was mainly issued to Special Forces (SF) units.
And here I thought 10/22's only got expensive after tinkering...
...the Israeli SF deployed the Ruger 10/22 more as a "Hush Puppy" weapon used to silently and effectively eliminate disturbing dogs prior to operations.
Also see: The Sword of Gideon, where the words "fum-fum" are used to describe the double-tap taught to the users of the .22 pistols. By the way, I liked the 1986 movie far more than I did Munich - sorry, Spielberg; your 'moral ambiguity angle' just didn't do it for me. Sometimes punishment in the face of wrongdoing is just that.
The test showed that the Ruger was more lethal then thought especially in upper body injuries.
Proving once again that, yes, the lil 'ol .22 LR does have some bite to it. Having said that, so do the 'stones' tossed at the IDF'ers - the ones restrained by highly-inane rules of engagement set out by politicians who sit far, far away from any immediate danger. The morons.
Sigh.
