10/22 stock - opinions

I just rebuilt my son's 10/22 and replaced the Knoxx Axiom stock for Fab Defense. The Fab is more solid, quicker to point and easier to control... it's evident in watching him use it. It provides for more options for optics and will take a bull barrel. We're both very happy with it. For full cleaning you just have to remove the four screws joining the forward part of the rail to the stock... the rail stays on the receiver.

I have a fab defense. Solid. Shoulders well and is comfortable to hold. Only complaint is the grip is a little short. Also, for a deep cleaning you have several screws to take the pic rail off before you can pull the receiver out.

Expensive but your 10/22 will be a completely new rifle.

I have been looking at the Crazy Ivan stock, it looks very similar to the MDT, won't be cheap, but looks to make a nice solid platform.

I have a Magpul stock right now. I found my action had some movement in the stock, so I bedded it into the stock and that seems to have fixed the movement issue. I will see how that works out before I move onto further looking at the Crazy Ivan chassis.

Love my Magpul X-22. Having a bit of a hard time finding a dealer with the black cheek riser kits in stock but don't regret the Magpul purchase at all. Solid feel, and great ergonomics.
