Hello everyone. Looking for recomendations on a stock for a heavy barrel 10/22. nothing with a pistol grip. Seen a few That tickeled my fancy but nothing amazing yet. Leaning towards the magpul x-22. Thanks everyone.

super heavy barrel on this one, had it on a Hogue and it was nice but i upsized to the Boyd this summer and LOVE IT!

you need to ask yourself if you want plastic/rubber or wood?
that will really narrow down your looking.

You need to think of your usage as well. I don't use my 10/22 anymore but I put on the Hogue Overmold. I bought it mainly because my son liked it, we got the zombie killer green. After getting it I found I really liked it. The green is now discontinued from what I know but they make a few different styles and colors if I remember right. I really like it because of the "rubber" coating on it. It's quite grippy. While wearing gloves you get a nice firm grip on it and in the middle of the summer out in the field, sweating, you still have a good grip on it.

I love the Hogue tactical thumbhole part# 22070 and the Victor Titan with the optional cheek rest.
The Hogue is just nice overall, shoulders easy, and I love the feel of the quality overmoulded rubber.
The Victor Titan is a whole other beast. It is the one stock that I have ever dealt with that came with a factory "bedding" mechanism. They call it the rear anchor mount, and it makes a world of difference. Well worth the $200USD that the setup costs.

If you want a laminated stock I'd recommend the Vantage RS from Tactical solutions. Has an aluminum pillar, comfy ergonomics, cool colours. Comes with a barrel support that you can choose to leave in; what I did was bed the first three inches of the barrel and then sanded away the support to free-float the barrel.

I bought mine from Wanstalls.
