I know this has been asked before but does anyone know of a dealer in Canada that brings in laminated stocks for the 10/22 besides "Bits of Pieces" in Van? I don't mind the Revivals but I would like some other choices before I stock my new toy.

Why not order from the states?Rimfire sports and Hawktech will both ship stocks to Canada and are both great to deal with.

got mine from rimfire sports. easy as pie to get it from the states too! i paid and a couple weeks later some lady dropped it off and 20 minutes later it was already installed and lookin good.

I ordered mine from richards micro fit stocks in california. ordered the tac driver in apache gold... what a looker!!! takes about 8 to 12 weeks to get one. anyone will ship stocks to canada, it's not considered a gun part. just wood furniture.

Did you get your stocks this year, 2008? I heard their export laws have changed as of Jan1 and it's harder for them to send stuff our way but I will check, thank you,
Kim

according to richards, stocks are not considered gun parts at all.... listed on the customs invoice as wood furniture. my stock was well over the 100.00 mark.

Hopefully that is the case (i.e. stocks are not considered gun parts). It would be useful to have something in writing to that effect, or to have a copy of the US Arms Export Control regulations--proving a stock isn't a gun part could get expensive.

I'm not trying to rain on anyone's parade; it would just suck to have the stock confiscated and for you to be in trouble with US customs.

Also, just because a company will sell to Canadians doesn't make it legal per se...

Best of luck.

is it not the shippers responsibility to ensure that they are in compliance with their own laws? If I order a stock and give them a canadian shipping address, they should know right away if they can do it or not... You would not be in trouble with u.s. customs, as you have nothing to with them. the shipper would be in trouble for selling to non resident aliens.....if it's illegal to do so. I have a friend meet me at the grey zone at the border and take my stuff from him there. It's alot easier, and perfectly legal.
