Been thinking about putting a DOA or BDC on my take down.
I was thinking the Burris one piece quick release rings would be the way to go.
Does anyone know if something like this will hold zero?
Or does anyone have better options I should be looking at?
Looking forward to the feed back !

Cheers

Not sure that I would go to the expense of QR rings and bases. You're not going to be taking it apart like Jason Bourne on any sort of a regular basis so why bother?

Just so it fits in the bag still and so it's quick to take out and set up when needed for game that's all. The 308 is a little aggressive for rabbits and grouse and don't like carrying a gun on each shoulder so I picked up the take down and I'm not big on iron sites.

I put a UTG bugbuster on mine

Great little scope for the money and more then good enough for a .22 . fits in the bag on the gun, comes with GOOD QR mounts and holds zero very well after removal/install. I like Burris as well but the bugbuster is a perfect fit for the takedown 3-9x32 and good glass for the money. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another. If you go this routed from the big A for $126 you will also need the 10/22 rail they have for under $15. The rail that comes with the ruger doesn't have enough slots to mount the short scope.

I find the warne quick release rings work like a charm. I have tested them on my ruger rimfire and scout rifle. They both return to zero or extremely close ( 1/4" out at 100m at most).

Trying to get some for my cz527 in high, but everyone seems to be out or backordered.

I used Leopold QD rings with a Nikon P-rim fire 2-7 with the 150bdc.
Yes it holds zero, yes I take it on and off lots, no I wouldn't buy the scope again; exposed turrets have a tendency to not stay where I put them...not a hardware issue, this is operator error.
However I've yet to find an ammo at a range where the drop reticle is accurate.
For a bench gun okay (clicks work) but a truck or bush gun I'll pass...
My 2 cents, ymmv

I put a Holographic sight on my take down. Works great for all small critters and birds and fits nicely in the bag.
