10/22 takedown - tech sights?

I have a 10/22 all weather with tech sights on it that I love, and a friend of mine just bought a 10/22 takedown as his first rifle... He likes my sights, but I told him I don't think it would be consistent be use of the seperation between rifle and reciever. Anyone tried this yet?

They should be fine, the take down zeros pretty well.

Guess its the same as mounting a scope on the receiver and counting on the barrel lockup to be good enough to maintain a zero eh?

Skinner makes a barrel mounted peep for the 10/22 TD. Its not as tacticool as your tech sights and doesn't have as much sight radius but you won't have to worry about losing zero.
