Hey guys, wondering if any of you can shed some light on what I should do...

I went shooting today and was firing the 10/22 takedown. All seemed fine until I ran through a 25 round magazine as fast as I could pull the trigger. by about round 18-20 it jammed. When I cycled the chamber and reloaded the rest of the rounds, the gun wouldn't fire. Pulling the trigger had no effect. It didn't fire the pin inside. It was as if the safety was on when it definitely wasn't. I double checked that the chamber had loaded the round properly, safety was for sure off, and then when I pull the trigger nothing would happen.

Any ideas? has anyone else had this issue with a 10/22?

Thanks in advance.

I would removed the trigger assembly and check it's operation out of the rifle. It sounds like the hammer is not being latched rearward when the bolt is cycled. I just had to send my new 10-22TD to the warranty repair center in Quebec to have the barrel replaced. Be prepared for at least a 1 month wait if you have to send it in for warranty.
