So I picked up a new 1022 stainless/synthetic about a week or so ago now, mounted a trs 25( awesome optic for the price)and put about 500 rounds through it. I polished the inside of the reciever as it felt like It was sandpaper on sandpaper when I racked the bolt. I also radiused the bolt which made it seem to run a lot smoother and was much easier to rack the handle. That smoothed it out right now and I experienced no fte or Ftf from then on. My only complaint is I just noticed how poorly the iron sights were installed. My front sight is flush on the front but at least a 1/4 inch of space on the rear of the dovetail causing it to tilt forward. Not sure if the angle matters I juse not sure how secure it is. Now the rear sight was just plain ghastly haha. It hung over. 1/4 inch to the right side and when I tapped it back very very very(did I say very) lightly it completely disintegrated. I remember my old 70 s 1022 was of much better quality all around. Anyone else have these issues?
