the 10/22 Tommy Gun Kits have never been on my radar, i know they exist and i know people have used them, but my son told me tonight he is
very interested in them and wanted to know if they are legal in Canada.
i cant imagine that they wouldn't be legal?
you using the stock barrel and any magazine can be pinned (if need be).
so it would just be a OAL issue and there is no way that those tommy gun kits are shorter than a 8" Dlask barrel on a Boyd SS Evolution stock.
does anyone have one or does anyone know of any issues getting them into Canada?

after doing some 3am digging it looks like they are legal its just that no one is really making them anymore, at least no one is making a decent one?
non in Canada anyways, and the ones i could find in the US looked to be half plastic.
shame, now that i know i cant have one.... i kinda want one!
haha!

I've owned 2 of them, one of the few kits I regret selling. They were well made walnut , with attachments to the 1022 similar to many of the modern chassis. The difference was they replicated a miniature version of a Tommy Gun. Green Mountain also made a finned replacement barrel for added cool factor.

I've seen some actual tommy gun stocks go up at online auctions over the years. unfortunately I bid low because of their insane shipping costs and missed out.
I've also been tempted to get one of those umarex tommy guns and cannibalizing parts off of it but never have . When you have small kids you prioritize the $$ and the time.

I'm using the SBI ultralite handguard to fasten the from handguard. The chassis also attaches in the same method, with threaded rod through the reciver.

Hmmm... a friend's father was an aircraft engine mechanic in WW2. Showed me his .45 cal Tommy Gun (1927 A1?) before all these prohibitions came around - some time around... 1987? Or maybe after it was prohibited. Still don't know what happened to it after he passed away

I bought this one a few years back on the EE
Someone in Canada made this one
It’s been hanging on my wall ever since I’ve never even shot it lol
It’s pretty cool though even if it’s just a 22
