10/22 tommy gun

kinda has me interested. is the drum mag included in the kit or just the furniture / parts?

the drum is not in the kit and its no a mag till you install a factory 10rd mag its cool for looks but i want a 50rd drum for shooting i hear bad things about pro mag but it seems thay just need to brake in

If you are looking for a Thompson kit, the made in Canada version is the way to go. Developed by a cgn member and distributed by Fabsports, other versions don't hold a candle to this one. Yeah its pricey (if you can find one), but it is NICE! They even had a "1928" version with the fore-end pistol grip and alternate style rear sight. I made a couple minor changes to mine, but its great. I even got a Promag to work, although it took a lot of hacking and grafting to do it.

This is gorgeous. I'd love to find a way to put the charging handle in the top of the receiver....

;)Anyone who can make a double barrelled flintlock shotgun could certainly make a 10/22 dressup kit.....

You don't need machine tools. Princess Auto sells aluminum tubing in appropriate sizes. Larger square tube into which the 10/22 receiver will slide, smaller square tube to cover the trigger housing to simulate the Thompson lower receiver. Buttstock mounts on this one. You need to cut slots and openings. Don't ned a mill, just chain drill a series of holes, and file the openings to size. You will need a hanger in front of the magazine well to carry the foregrip. You aren't making the gun, just add-on parts to change the appearance.

No reason why you couldn't. Cut the top and put one into the bolt. 10/22s and all replacement parts are available everywhere. Cut it properly and you shouldn't weaken the receiver. And you'd eliminate the only problem this kit has: knocking your knuckles on its crisp edges as you cycle the bolt by hand.

I believe the person responsible for the kit's design went by the name "Mr. AR-15", if I'm wrong I apologize.

This is how the deluxe kit looks on a 10/22 standard barrel. I want your response for interest or preorders. I will bring some in @ $399 if enough people are interested.

I wanna bump this thread, as I have the exact kit above coming to me very soon, excellent (with an evil grin on my face). :D
