10/22 Volquartsen(spelling?) Hammer Is A Must Have Upgrade!!!

I just put one of these in my 10/22 target tactical this morning and God Damn does it make a difference! It came with the hammer, bushings, and 2 springs. One for the hammer, the other is the trigger return spring. I am amazed at the results from just changing the hammer! I got this to my door from rimfire sports .com was $37 and change! I am curious to how much lighter it could possibly get with the hammer/sear combo? Seems about as light as I'd ever want it considering this will be my grouse gun as well as a target gun. Anyway if you don't already have one go buy one!
 
Awesome thanks for the input... I was looking into these too. Wasnt sure if I needed to spend the extra on the hammer and sear combo. From the sounds of it and my uses (just fun target shooting) the hammer is all I need.

order the exact edge extractor while you're at it. Best $12 you'll ever spend on a 10-22.

Edge extractor eh?? I wouldn't have though getting that. I haven't hat extractor issues but then again my 10/22 has only really seen one day of shooting about 1000 rounds. Do the extractors tend to have issues?

Notoriously.....
After 3,000 to 5,000 rounds you'll have/see more and more FTE
It's a cheap fix.
 
One of my 10-22's is deadly accurate with a bunch of different ammo but would only function 100% reliably with 2 or 3...the VQ Exact Edge extractor solved that issue. Now, every type of ammo I use functions 100%.

I have put about 2000 rounds through my 10/22 and no issues with any ammo yet! I guess for 12 bucks it's worth putting in the extractor. I guess Ill put it on my next order, because everyone know I'm going to have to order some more stuff from them! Awesome resource for anything rimfire!
 
I just rec'd my VQ target hammer yesterday and installed it this afternoon. What a difference!! Feels like a million bucks! I don't have a trigger scale but it feels like a 2 poundish trigger, fairly crisp and creep free as well...all for around $36 shipped.

What are you all waiting for????????? Order the darn thing already :D:D
