10/22 vs 597

i HAD a rem 597,it's the only rifle i owned that i wanted to throw downrange.you couldn't give me 1,jammed a fair bit,developed a 2 round burst(cleaned thouroghly and still same)mags suck,shall i go on

10/22 still seems to be a superb base for a custom build or cheap plinker. Resale value is strong IF you don't like it (and even if you don't like it, there are enough parts being made for them that you can convert it into something you WILL like). I have owned a pair of 597s and while I did not have problems with them per se, the 10/22 just has alot more going for it. That said, you can get a new 597 for cheaper than a 10/22....
 
sold it 2 weeks after buying it,the sad part was the rifle was bought a virgin.:eek: i was the 1 that opened the gun box at the gunshop,looked it over and took it home.:mad:
oh well,live and learn-no remingtons for me
