10/22 walnut or synthetic stock?

I'm planning to buy a Ruger 10/22, but is struggling whether to get the one in walnut or synthetic stock. I won't change it in the near future. So, which one is better?

I went with the synthetic stock and I'm now wishing I'd gone with the wood.

At least with wood you can easily put sling studs into it, in fact I think they come with some. Also you can open up the area where the barrel sits and put a bull barrel into it. I would go with the wood.

Whatever is cheapest....I'd prefer the wood.

I am happy with my wood stock and it does allow a little more leeway for adjustment, and is presumably more rigid.

Mine's wood and I actually enjoy 'shinin' it up'.

I regret getting the synthetic, it doesn't come with studs, I can however, get another synthetic 10/22 stock with studs for $65.

I would go with the wood if I were you, I don't think the weight makes that much of diff

I might have a spare wooden stock I'd sell. Might already be openned up for a bull barrel though... not sure.
