10-22 William peep sight

I bought many years ago a William receiver peep sight for a 10-22 but at the time, the front sight was not avaliable at the store.

I would like to know the recommended height for the front sight.

I am thinking about the possibility to machine one, as a challenge, during the next rainy weekend.

I searched on the web but I did not find the height.

I have a Williams Fire Sight for the 10/22 in a bin of parts.

The distance from the bottom of the dovetail to the top of the sight is 0.55". The diameter of the fire optic is 0.06".

Check the Williams gun sight site. They recommend a .570 front sight. They will sell sets with front sight for about $50 US. They will ship directly to you.
