hi all, looking for a few ideas, I have the 10/22 ruger with a gsg drum, getting lots of failure to feed, basically the projectile is being bent out of the casing enough it does not chamber, bullets are Winchester 22lr, before I start playing with it anyone having good success with this bullet, works fine in the regular mag and the browning blr,

if its the bullets any recommendations what to use

thanks in advance

Federal Auto Match and CCI Standard work flawlessly in my GSG drum in a couple of different 10/22's. I tried Winchester HV and they work very well also. Federal are ok but there is the occasional ftf. Are you releasing the tension (by turning the feed drum slightly) and then shaking the drum after it's full to make sure all rounds are aligned correctly? Important step.
Are you putting any inadvertent tension on the mag by holding it or pushing against it while shooting? This could affect it as well.

not releasing the tension or shaking to settle the rounds, will try this, when the jammed round is taken out the bullet is bent at the end of the casing, got this mag used so first time trying it out, fun when it worked just a pain when it stops

no extra tension I will pick up some other bullets and see if it works tonight

please update. as I was thinking of getting one of these but there seem to be hit or miss problems.

Well you need to load them as per instructions not load them like a ruger 10 round factory magazine or your gonna run into problems it's the same loading the HC3R magazine you need to load it how they say to if you just pop rounds in and try to fire it your gonna have a bad day.

My only regret with the GSG drum, it's very well made and solid IMO, is that I bought it when .22's are scarce and pricey. :bangHead:

well looked thro the manual, watched the video and one thing on mine when the rotating disc is moved the push bar does not drop freely, it does drop when a round is inserted, after the first 10 rounds it still does not drop freely, going to try lubrication tonight and see if this helps, changing the bullet make made no difference to the feeding reliability
