10/22's and CCI stingers?

When I had an sr22 stingers was mostly what was shot from it. No problems with them at all and shot really well. If its a factory barrel and not a target model go for it

I ran lots of Stingers through my 10/22's long before the internet said I shouldn't do it, LOL. If they really don't want you shooting Stingers there would probably be a warning in the instruction manual. I don't know off hand if there is a warning or in there or not.

**EDIT: Just looked it up. Actually there is a warning in the manual not to use Stingers in the 'Target' and 'Tactical' models. I've just had the standard ones and Stingers were never a problem.

So................... what is different about a Stinger? I ran hundreds through my Remmy Speedmaster....... not one burp...........

There has NEVER been any talk about no stingers in a 10/22 by the manufacturer except for the Target model which has a Bentz chamber... the rest have sporter chambers and can handle Stingers with no problem... many aftermarket barrel makers that use Bentz Match chambers request NO Stingers or Seg's be used in their chambers... look at the list of chamber dimensions below;

.22LR Chamber Dimensions:

Type______Length__Mouth Dia._Throat Dia._Taper @ Throat
Sporting____0.7751"____0.2307"____0.2270"
Bentz______0.6900"____0.2270"____0.2255"_____1.5° Taper
Match _____0.6876"____0.2267"____0.2248"
Win 52-D___0.5800"____0.2278"____0.2248"_____2.0° Taper

The "Ruger" 10/22 factory chamber is the "Sporting" chamber above.
The "Bentz" chamber is the 'match' chamber for semi-autos.
The "Match" chamber is for bolt actions.
The "Win M52-D" is a bolt action target rifle.

.22 Long Rifle Headspace: .0425" GO // .045" NO-GO
