will the 10/22T shoot tighter groups than a standard 10/22 ? anyone have the 10/22T? do you like it? Also what would be a good scope for both target and hunting on top the 10/22T .

It better I have got one on layaway :) .

The T has 3 main advantages ofer a standard carbine.

1. Bentz chamber not a sporter (no stingers allowed)
2. A lighter (but not light) trigger - figure on some trigger work requardless
3. wieght the gun is heavier so it is less likely to move with the bullet in the barrel, less vibrations etc.

As for scope that depends on you hunting and target requirements, I am planning on shooting pd's so the scope requirements are pretty similar. But I hate to say at first it will be wearing a simple 3-9. when the budget allows maybe a 4-12 or 6-18. But really in the schem of things I probably don't need all that magnification.

22 0-75
17 hmr 75-175

For target AND hunting purposes, you'd be well served with an AO scope. Bushnell has several in the Trophy, Legend and Elite lines, some as low as $160.00 if you shop around. Higgonsons Powders has great pricing on Bushnell scopes.

Mine is currently wearing a Legend 6-18x40 AO on Burris Sig.Zee rings.

Higgonsons or Higginsons? Do you have an address or weblink? Thanks. :)

I own one equipped with a Tasco 2.5-10x42mmMildot AO and IT ROCKS! This set up is wicked accurate for target or hunting applications as I've used mine for both.....gophers are in danger within 150M or less if I do my part with it.......

The irony of that article is that elley 10x makes 17 hmr look cheap. I was just in a shop the other day that had some in the bargin bin for 18$ for 50 eek! and I can shoot smaller groups with a 260$ Marlin.

And we won't talk about the first rule of rimfire "feed it what it likes", and the jumping around yardages. And the I shoot ten shot groups because there better then mentioning once or twice about how the group was so small for 7 shots.

Interesting but nothing that's not on RFC

I have a 10/22 stainless, and a 10/22T I shoot the same ammo in both, Federal the T gets 1/4 " groups at 100 ft. The Regular gets 1/2 " groups at 100 ft. They both have Leupold 134/5 VXIII. I rarely use the T I'm a hunter and a farmer, the Stainless camo is with me in my side by side Kubota. It gets used almost daily, I shot a skunk in the chicken coop this A.M. Respectfully Jim
