Sorry if this is an AR noob question but are there any 10/30 round mags available in Canada? I see them available on u.s websites....

Well the ATRS mag is a 10/20 but the length of that mag falls between a 20 and 30 round USGI mag. You could also consider adding the printed LAR mag bottom to make it a USGI mag size. The best option is the ATRS (CCA) but might need some minor easy fitting. I have one and it works awesome un modified in my Norc M4. Another but expensive option is there has been a small trickle of .50 Beowulf mags in the country. They are either a CCA 30 or USGI 30 design made and marked for .50 Beowulf and pinned to hold just 5 rds of .50 Beowulf it will hold about 15 rds of 223. Just because you can put that many rds of 223 into it and fire them in a 223 rifle does not make them illegal as they are pinned for the round they were built for. This has been confirmed by the RCMP. However because of the supply being so small and the demand so high, they often sell for around $200. I have many of the USGI style and they work flawless with 223. The last option is the .50 mags made in NewBrunswick. This company does not mark the mag for the .50 Beowulf and has not had the RCMP make a ruling on it. It sells for around $50 but the catch is no one is sure how legal it is and it's pretty ugly. You could also make an order for ,50 Beowulf mags from the Canadian supplier Armtac but they are massively back ordered on them right now. There is also a plan in the works by a company to have a middle eastern company make them.

Go with the ATRS

I prefer to couple two LAR 10 round mags together at the floor plates. This make for a similar shape and length to a 30 round mag but gives you a legal 20 rounds.
