I installed a mag well adaptor on my vz58 and am currently using xcr 7.62x39 10 round pistol mags. I have been looking for 10/30 round 7.62x39 pistol mags as I want the longer look. Is there such thing out there available or will I just have to settle for the 5/30 rifle mags if I want a longer mag?

10/30 for 7.62x39 doesn't exist.

You're stuck with the 5/30 or use extensions like the 3-D printed ones from GSdesigns. I quite like the extensions. They're available in lots of colours, not just red. ;)

GS Designs, a dealer on CGN, makes 3-d printed solid plastic mag extensions for various magazines(LAR, XCR, etc). I use the LAR ones for competition and they are great.

Search on CGN and you will find him.

OR run a magwedge coupler and run two mated together.

Is there any particular reason as to why they don't make 10/30 pistol mags?

Because it wouldn't make any sense? You would just use regular 30/30 magazines in your AR pistol in the USA if you wanted 30 rounds. The pistol magazines are 10 so they're not as large and cumbersome, we only use pistol magazines in rifles because of a loophole in the regulations.

Yeah, I suppose that's what they would do. I did a quick search and it seems the only way we can get 10/30 magazines is if Robinson Arms designs a 30 round mag specifically for a pistol and not a rifle and then we can pin it to 10 rounds.

Because the 10 are perfect length....

I agree and I personally like the look of my XCR with a 10 round mag. I'm just wondering what a 7.62 XCR owner would do if they, hypothetically speaking, remove the 5 round limit which could happen since it's a regulation and not a law (not holding my breath though...)
