Do any of the European caliber fans have experience with the "10,3x60 R", apparently it is very popular in the region my Grandfather is from but I can't find any info or comparisons on it in english or french.

Is loading data available in any of the popular manuals? Seems it is similar in dimension to the 400 h and h mag

Some of the minimal stuff I've read suggests that this is the only caliber allowed for hunting in Graubunden (Grisons), seems like it would be a bit overkill for Chamois and Roe deer to me.

350 grains at 2200 fps sounds pretty good to me, if I'm not mistaken it seems some of these loads are only a few hundred fps behind factory 375 h and h loads in similar bullet weights.
 
I think there would be no problem using a 450/.400 2 3/8" BP in a 10.3X60R, but I doubt the later would chamber in a 450/.400.
Both cases can be made from the .450 Nitro-Express and CH4D makes dies for them.
The 10.3X60R is still listed under CIP @ 2700 bar so barely below 40 000 PSI.

Well, see it as a Swiss 45-70...
A very good bear and deer caliber which can handle close moose encounters.
It was one very reputable target load in the Martini-Peabody actioned rifles.
 
The only commercial firearms I have found chambered in it are swiss single shots which are reasonably priced all things considered.

If anyone else is interested Buffalo Arms has dies and brass available. Not cheap but is it ever?
