10.5 in hand guard

Just ordered a 10.5 in upper and would like to get a 2 piece hand guard to replace stock

I am led to believe the magpul carbine lengh guard will fit ( 9 in i believe ) , with stock front sight still on

can any one confirm this or suggest an alternate hand guard with pic rails.

10.5" upper uses a carbine length gas tube, so Magpul will fit just fine.

DISREGARD I thought you were talking about rails, not the plastic Magpul unit with relief for the FS!

9" will be too long to maintain the A2 front sight gas block, if that's what you have.
You're likely looking for a 7" unit, and need to determine if the rail attaches using the delta ring assembly, standard barrel nut, or a proprietary nut that comes with the rail.
