Just by looking at it id look into 43 mauser brass.

43 Mauser case rim is smaller than 10.75 and too thick to work in Berdan at least the one I had.

Don't have it in front of me currently but I am pretty sure the manual of cartridge conversions suggests using .45 basic

It does but 43 Spanish is available and is much easier to convert.

i am waiting from CHtools a correct set of die but 2 years of delay........

43 spanish is not far from Berdan spec BUT you must reduce the neck or cry to find your brass jam inside the rifle

Look 11.66 mm for 43 spanish

11.43 mm for 42 Berdan

if someone know how to reduce this , a set if die of 43 spanish can do the job but my trouble is this damned 11.66 mm Spanish , jam inside chamber of my Berdan.....

I ran 43 Spanish into a 7.62x39 seater die to reduce neck and then fireformed.

wondering if there would be enough wall thinness to use a steel sleeve for something like .30-06 brass been looking into this for .577-450 and .577 snider in those cases it would be say .750" long and small enough on the inside that the sleeve would have to be pressed on the 06 casing from there trim and form/fire form
