10 FP Availabilty and Price check

Hey Guys

Loooking at buying a 10-FP in .308 with Choate Sniper Stock or Factory Stock. Are these rifles still avail? And at what price.

I just got one of these myself, I picked it up from a friend. I paid $900 but it came with a good scope and good rings. The plastic stock feels pretty cheap to me, it's not rubbery or anything like that, it's just a hunk of plastic. I'd go with the McMillan stock if I was buying it new, but I painted my factory stock with a can of some kind of paint that's supposed to leave a "granite" texture when it dries. It worked well, it's nice and squishy, and it has little white specks all over it. It's still not a McMillan, tho.

You're regret getting that garbage plastic stock. Never seem to hear good things about the Choate.

McMillan stock, 308 $1150. Six months wait, after ordering mine. But I think I was scarewed around.

I like the choate stock. It is BIG and heavy though. Got mine for, what I feel is the mistaken price of, $779 in 308 (20") at SIR last summer. :mrgreen: I didn't second guess it.

The LE2B has a far nicer stock from McMillan and in my opinion worth the extra money. I have a couple stuck in customs that should be here in the next week to 10 days at $1175.00 plus gst :mrgreen:
