Hey guys just wondering if anyone has used those Questar ASC Lar 15 pistol/rifle AR MAGS...this particular brand "ASC" ... Any fails any success... They seam cheaper than the other LAR 15 brand... Does it show? Gonna run em in a type 97 NSR. Thanks in advance... Sorry if this question has been addressed already.

I bought 3 a little while back (couple years maybe), one of them never dropped free, the finish on that one was plain disgusting on the welded side, tried sanding it down as much as I was confortable to do so (wich wasn't much really because they felt so flimsy to begin with), but still didn't drop free and is now discarded... not impressed at all. the other two I never really had a problem with, but I just dislike them honestly. I don't compete, so they aren't worth it for me YMMV.

I had two of them purchased from P&D. Both wouldnt feed. Bullets would be stopped by the edge of the mag body. Tried filing the worse of the two but still didnt run good. Tossed them.Maybe a bad batch but i wouldnt risk it again. The black c-products one work great nicely finished and the followers are better too.

Sorry to hijack this thread but...with the 5 rd .50 Beowulf mags out from AA and PCV, are people still buying these 10 rd AR mags? Anyone still waiting for the Alberta Tactical AT15 mags to come in? Doesn't make any sense to me to buy 10 rounders anymore.

100% with you on this one. I heard its a money issue for some people though.

The pcv ones are junk in my opinion. I would only consider the AA metal ones but they are very pricey... 85 used or 99 new. I can buy 2 lar-15 mags and a coupler for around 70 bucks and have 20 rounds capacity...

x3 since they are designed for .50 beo they have a hard time retaining .223 when at full capacity. Light impacts can make them pop out and their reliability is questionable from my experience
