10 rifles ?

Firearms Act:
102. (1) Subject to section 104, for the purpose of ensuring compliance with this Act and the regulations, an inspector may at any reasonable time enter and inspect any place where the inspector believes on reasonable grounds a business is being carried on or there is a record of a business, any place in which the inspector believes on reasonable grounds there is a gun collection or a record in relation to a gun collection or any place in which the inspector believes on reasonable grounds there is a prohibited firearm or there are more than 10 firearms and may

(a) open any container that the inspector believes on reasonable grounds contains a firearm or other thing in respect of which this Act or the regulations apply;

(b) examine any firearm and examine any other thing that the inspector finds and take samples of it;

(c) conduct any tests or analyses or take any measurements; and

(d) require any person to produce for examination or copying any records, books of account or other documents that the inspector believes on reasonable grounds contain information that is relevant to the enforcement of this Act or the regulations.

This actually could be challenged in court if executed as it could be precieved as violating number 8. of the Charter of rights " everyone has the right to be secure against unreasonable search or seizure".

Long and short gentlemen and ladies ...learn your rights as Canadians!

Mmm sure you could try a charter challenge but that would be a lot of money, time and effort for something with very little prospect of success.

I sure hope not....

He will let you in his house if the zombies come.......as long as the boards arn't already on his windows and doors. I have the same rule.

lol

Fuzz? Yer kinda dating yourself a bit......:p

...I like it! I beleive I got a speeding ticket from a "flatfoot" too young to even know the term "fuzz" yesterday!

Ganderite...is it possible you left your reg's on a phonebook? Are you the guy who registered the "fuller screwdriver"? Seriously, until today, n'er thought I'd compliment a fella on his "stack"!

...back to OP
As stated, legally, 10+ firearms means you may be inspected. As I recall from the reading, it's not one of those 2am "I'd like to see your 11 cooey single shot .22's" searches. It's to be scheduled and, not just any "fuzz" can do it (if you allow 'em in, you answer for it) but only firearms officers.

Regarding personal experiences, the local cfo helped to spare some of my 10+ from the smelter and, has never invited himself over to check on 'em!

You guys can worry about zombie attacks all you like, but the real danger is the Z-Rays from the little blue men in the UFOs, the ones who want to suck you up into their machines and do horrifying things to your nekkid bod.

Take it from Someone Who Knows: tinfoil hat will keep Them from reading your thoughts. But everybody knows that.

Me, I'm far more frightened of my own Government than I am of zombies, vampires, werewolves, UFOs, muggers and home invaders combined.

And, in a Free Country, that's not good.

Rights are fine to talk about, but look at the word carefully and decide what it means: enFORCEment.

And that is what it has ALWAYS boiled down to.
