10 rnd mags for 7600....?

I could be mistaken, (for the first time in my life...again), but if the 7600 takes the same mags as the 7400, 742, then I might have one available that I could sell you...PM if you are interested.
 
I got mine from Numrich. I was a bit concerned about whether they would make it since the Rem's semi also accepts the mags but they did arrive. The didn't feed as well as the 5 round mags, since I bought the gun for bear defence I sold them a short while before I sold the gun. I can't remember what I paid but I sold them for $25 each.
 
Eagle made them (plastic), but they are hard to find, and work great.

Colyer also made 8 round metal mags, but they were pretty junky.

They are around but hard to find, so good luck!
 
i have one a guy gave me it is designed to handle 10 rounds but if you put more than 5 in it the sides bulge out and it will not fit in the rifle.the 7600 comes with a 4 shot clip not a 5.the 7400 and the 7600 will take the same clips just the factory clip for the 7400 has a higher ridge in the push plate in the bottom which is to stop the bolt from closing on an empty chamber after the last shell is fired and ejected but either clip will work.

However. On the site it clearly states it will operate in a 7600/760 and 7400 but will not hold the bolt open in the 7400. Therefore, by reading the law, one would have to assume if caught in the field with it, you could have it confiscated or worse, due to it being a questionable device.

Maybe someone could clarifiy this, as having a ten round mag for a semi is a no-no.

like the 7615 being able to take AR mags, but not being allowed to posses the high-cap mags?(different issue, but you get my drift)
 
the only time you would need a 10 shot clip would be for competetion. if hunting take your time make the first shot count,no need to lay down a pattern and hope the animal runs into one or two.i do believe it is illegal to use a 10 shot clip in a semi but with the pump it might be legal. some provinces have laws restricting how many you can have in the weapon at any one time.NS only allows 3 shells in a shotgun regardless of what you are hunting.stupid if i can have 5 or more in a rifle while hunting big game why not 5 slugs if the shotgun is my weapon of choice.
 
760/7600 mags

I have used the Eagle plastic 10 round mags in my 760 and 7600 in 308 Winchester. I find they feed better if you only load eight rounds rather than ten. There is no real need for the ten round mag only "because". They are so of neat to have but otherwise are more a novelty.

General understanding would be that if the mag is marked 742-7400 etc anywhere, it gets pinned to 5. If marked only for the 76* family 10 is a go. At least in the eyes of the authorities. Most that I have seen say both the 76 and 74, so would require pinning.

there's also an ram-line 10 rounder out there- i have one in my junk box- the tail isn't formed properly, and it drops out of battery even if you use their fancy extended mag release button- that;s WHY it's in my junk box

These mags are perfectly legal !!!,if in a pump only !!!!.I called cfc and the Ontario Provincial Police about this and was told the only law that pertians to these mags are if they are used in a semi-auto.I have a couple colyer mags stamped Winchester 88 - 100.The 308-243 mags are 10 rnds and the 284 are 7 rnds.Pin them if you want but there legal in a pump rifle and not in a semi-auto rifle.Call cfc or your local police,rcmp and you should get the same answer as I did,then shoot away !!!!
