That doesn't mean they're legal by any stretch of imagination. There has never been a Magpul PMAG magazine available in Canada as a 10rd pistol mag - always pinned to 5, especially in .308. There have been other mags legally sold in Canada as 10rd pistol mags, primarily C-Products, if I remember right - "Duramag" is C-Products from a company/product perspective.
 
Semi-auto, centerfire, rifle=5 rounds.

LAR Mags (5.56 Nato) are an anomaly. These magazines were designed for a pistol, so, 10 rounds is allowed. The fact they fit in rifles is moot...currently.

They really are hard to come by...I've searched hi and low online and couldn't find them anywhere. By luck I ordered a 3 pack of pmags for in-store pickup and when I went there asked about xcr mags and the guy was like we just got 6 in. Unfortunately only 2 of the 6 he thought were ten rounders were actually pinned to 5 so I bought out the other two. Back to searching I Guess lol

A mod was nice enough to hook me up with some XCR mags years ago. I am very grateful still. They really are a ##### to find for a reasonable amount of money.
 
I just sold 6x ASC 10-rd XCR "Pistol" Magazines on the EE, complete with GS Designs Polymer Body Extensions and MOLLE Pouches. They were on the EE for over a week with an asking price of $80 per mag. They are out there, sometimes right under your nose....
