10 round AR mag, does it have to come from Questar?

Nothing wrong with them. Just thinking maybe some AR may come out of factory with 10 round mag....make our life easier.

Virtually I really want to know how the RCMP letter was writen. Is it say only Questar mag is OK or any manufacturer can do 10 rounds AR pistol mags?
 
It is my limited understanding that Questar is the only one so far that has submitted the mag design to the RCMP for approval. Everyone else in Canada who is selling the 10 rounders, is selling what Questar imports from their manufacturer stateside.

If anyone else wanted to make a legal AR pistol 10 rd. mag, they would have to follow the same process of submitting prototypes to the RCMP for approval.

I think it was great of Questar to try this, and to go through the headaches of getting approvals and opening this product line. Support innovators like this, and buy Questar!

Mark and Questar went the extra mile to make these 10 round mags available to Canadian shooters.

We should support him by buying the LAR Pistol 10 round mags from him or his dealers.
 
Same, their service is excellent.

The way I see it, the retailers are all buying from questar anyways, so if questar is sold out technically you're still supporting them by buying from say marstar since its all coming from the same source.
 
Its the mag that is controlled, not the dealer, IMO anyone in Canada can buy these mags from the states etc...
