I wonder, why aren't there any 10 round Kel Tec PLR magazines being brought up here?
Is it because PLR magazines are "made for both the rifle and the pistol," and thus pinned to 5 rounds as per the RCMP memo concerning the matter? If that is that case, and PLR magazines are deemed "made for both rifle and pistol," perhaps there is another solution...
Kel Tec seems eager to please us canucks, communicating well with importers and suppliers from what I've heard. Perhaps this good standing relationship could be exploited further.
What if keltec were to manufacture (or put an order in with their American magazine manufacturers for), 10 round PLR-16 pistol magazines, "made specifically for the PLR pistol".
It's a sin that more 10 rounders aren't available up here when we have that loophole. It's just a good healthy way for us Canadians to kick the CFC in the nuts with our 10 rounders....
Hell, come to think of it, I'm sure there's a good made in Canad business solution to be had here.... How hard is it to fab up some LAR magazines? Or even some Remington 7600 magazines with unlimited capacity? Just stamp into them "made for the Remington 7600 pump action rifle".
Of course, there are big legal issues here... I'm just trying to raise the question....
