Has anyone had any experience with the 10 round Kwik Klip mag's?

I have had a Kwik Klip conversion on a Rem 700 Mtn Rifle in 280 Rem for years now and have 3 4 round mags that worked perfectly in it.

About 10 years ago for the fun of it I bought 2 10 round mags problem was after the first couple of shots the bullets jammed can't remember if the bullet tips ended up pointing up or down.

I had to remove the bullets that were left in the mag and then put the floor plate back into the correct position, ended up only using the mags to carry spare bullets in my back pack.

Just a few weeks ago I bought a 50th anniversary Rem 700 LSS in 280 Rem and switched the Kwik Klip conversion kit over to it and once again all 3 4 round mags work great but it got me thinking about getting the 10 round mags working properly.

I'm thinking a stronger spring would help but were would you get one if anyone has any ideas or experiences on how to fix this problem and feel like sharing I'd appreciate it.

I recently picked up 2 kwick klip 10 rounders for my 30-06, the only feed issues I've had have been with the last round and even then I just pulled the bolt back and re engaged it. the spring does seem a little loose though with only 1 round loaded. I'd try loading some dummy rounds and simulating feeding them, observe whether or not somethings binding, or if the spring is causing you some issues. if you get it straightened out, I think these are the best deal going right now, as far as Rem. long action mags go. Mine also fit great in my Hs stock as well.

I was messing around with the mag's last night and see that the floor plate in both if I push down slightly on the front of the plate it will pop almost straight down and lock there.

When I feed the rounds in without firing I had no issues but once I fire a few shots the recoil popped the bullets so the tip faced almost straight down.

werewolf have you shot any rounds with these mags yet?

I would contact the manufacturer and ask them about it... I once had a broken trigger guard assembly that was no fault of theirs and they replaced it at no charge. I think they will try and help you. I have never seen 10 round mag of theirs but I use a five round mag and have installed many of them with no problems. Thinking about your problem... possibly the sides of the mag are squished together slightly?

I've only put around 60 rounds through the 10 round mags, as soon as the weather smartens up there will be a whole lot more. But so far no problems like yours. On mine the last round was almost like it wasn't being moved out of the mag. I'll have to pay more attention next time I'm out with them.
