I'm sick and tired of people asking this. It should be a sticky(Mods MAKE IT a sticky.), and not just in the questar forum. Here. Where all the f**kING NOOBS ask it.

*Taken directly from the Questar forum*

Because of the many people who have been asking (arguing) over the legality of whether a 10 round magazine can be legally used in a Rifle we posted a detailed explanation on our website explaining what the magazine laws are in Canada and how they apply to various firearms.

We've then given a step by step explanation of how the RCMP classification of the LAR-15 Pistol Magazine was determined and why that classificaiton is all the matters, not the type of firearm you use the magazine in.

It's long and it references the specific parts of the legislation that apply. It can be confusing but it should clariy a number of points for people who are unsure or confused about what is and what is not "legal" when it comes to magazine capacity.

You are correct. We are our own worst enemies. Gun owners will argue and fight tooth and nail on things they know nothing about, and most seem unwilling to do the work to educate themselves. They want the answers spoon fed to them. This coming up on November 11th, we should all remember that those folks fought and died to defend our rights. Let's not be so eager to take them away from ourselves without the Anti's having to lift a finger.

No... Dumb people who can't figure out the simplest things are...

You know when they tell you in school that "there's no such thing as a stupid question"

They're lying.

It's a reasonable question.

The Byzantine complexity of Canadian firearms laws, which frequently defy common sense and logic confuse even veteran gun owners, never mind the "f**king noobs" as the OP so eloquently describes newer members of our community.

It's out of line for the OP to rant about people not getting this.

U mad bro?

Its not that complex. I'm pissed about people not wanting to look for themselves and subjecting us to the same ####ing question almost daily.

So. Solution. MAKE IT A STICKY. That way the ####ING NOOBS. as I call them can EDUCATE themselves rather than have us baby them.

The laws are contrived so you get contrived rulings!

It should definitively but a sticky with title:
10 ROUND AR PISTOL MAGAZINES ARE LEGAL IN RIFLES
because some fellow will ask about XCR-L pistol magazine legality!

Alex

by telling them to use the search function, eventually the search will only return with hundreds of threads saying "use the search function", if the topic is stickied, just add a link and be done with it. ;)

I have 30 round Magpul plastic magazines but for some reason I can only put 5 rounds in. Are these ok to use if they aren't 10 rounds?

I read on the internet that Magpul mags are illegal in Canada because some of the 9-11 attackers came from Canada. We can only have 5 rounds in a 30 round magazine because terrorists would never use a magazine that was pinned to 5, it's easier to put exposives in your underpants.

But, but I heard from my 3rd cousins uncles boyfriend  that 10 rounders were illegal...does this mean I can use my Pmag's pinned to 10 rounds? d:h: I'm just asking 'cuz the other 400 responses weren't what I wanted to hear... ;)
