10 round mags for ristricted rifles

We import them and sell them... and there are hundreds.

Mark

That's interesting to know, I have never even seen one myself.

Are there any other pistols that shoot centre fire rifle ammo that the same ruling could ( in theory ) be applied to ?

Thanks for making these mags and guns available to us.

Beretta CX4 storm. Comes factory with 5 round mag but you can get 10 round pistol mags for it.

What about revolvers? I think there are some with 12 round cylinders.

No limits for revolver capacity.....

We need to find one that takes 7.62mm rounds, and fits in an M-14....

Or we could just get more AIA mags....

The beretta storm fires a pistol round. What we need is " commonly available" pistols that fire rifle rounds.

Extra AIA magazines seem to be as common as unicorn poop.
There is a market for these.
10 round M-14 magazines are being made in the US.
If the mfr could do a run of these, without the little square hole in the upper front edge, these would be AIA magazines, not M-14 magazines.
As far as that goes would a 20 rounder without the little square hole be an AIA magazine?
With respect to 10 round pistol magazines being used in rifles, refer to the RCMP letter covering the LAR magazines.

I could be wrong here but it was my understanding that the "mag' is legal but only for a handgun, once it's installed in a rifle then that is illegal. Rifles being held to 5 round capacity, it would then have to be pinned to 5 in order to legally use it in the rifle.

This is incorrect. The mag designed for a semi auto rifle must be limited in some manner to 5 cartridges. The mag designed for a pistol must be limited to no more than 10 cartridges.

Just because a pistol mag fits in a rifle doesn't mean that you have to alter that mag to use it in a rifle.

There is a letter floating around somewhere from the RCMP that states the LAR 15 mag is NOT a prohibited device.

The same is being found of other magazines designed for different new, other than semis, designs that fit in semi auto rifles.

After sifting through 7 pages of this my head still hurts and I will stick with 5 round mags for my 7615 just to avoid any hassle in the field
