Is this going to be pinned to 5 for us Canucks?

The PMAG 10 GEN M3 is a 10-round 5.56x45 NATO (.223 Remington) polymer magazine for AR15/M4 compatible weapons. Incorporating new material technology and manufacturing processes for enhanced strength, durability, and reliability, the PMAG 10 provides next-generation performance for those needing lower profile magazines.

Modified internal and external geometry also permits operation with a wide range of non Colt-spec platforms such as the HK® MR556A1 and FN® SCAR™ MK 16/16S as well as AR15 mag wells with tighter tolerances. A redesigned bolt catch notch in the rear of the magazine provides increased bolt catch clearance, while an over-travel stop on the spine helps ensure the magazine will not over-insert on compatible weapons.

The PMAG 10 GEN M3 features a long-life stainless steel spring, four-way anti-tilt follower for reliable feeding, and an easy to disassemble flared floorplate to aid extraction and handling of the magazine while providing improved drop protection. In addition, an included pop-off Impact/Dust Cover can optionally be used to minimize debris intrusion and protect against potential damage during storage and transit.

Made in U.S.A.

If its designed and advertised for being used in a rifle, then yes. If it is designed and marketed to be a pistol magazine and NOT a rifle magazine as well then no. The info you provided pretty much guarantees it will have to be pinned to 5 rounds.

If it was designed for a pistol 10 rounds designed for a rifle 5 rounds designed for both 5 rounds.

Someone would have to convince Magpul to market it as a mag for the LAR-15 or XCR-Mini. Let's all cross our fingers and hope we can get some non-butchered Magpul magazines up here...

First of... as if Magpul or USA in any way shape or form, really cares about our fire-arm laws.

Secondly. No. It's a 10 round Rifle magazine, so it'd have to be pinned.

They might care. They are caring enough about US gun laws to move shop out of Colorado. Then again, they probably don't want to buy into marketing to laws made by anti's.

With the current state of affairs down there, our firearm laws are better than some of the states now... Sad, but true

I too am pretty sure it'll have to be pinned to 5rds.
Here's another question tho:

Would a 10rds PMAG with a -5 limiter be enough to comply with the law? I do realize the Magpul description clearly says it is meant as a temporary measure, but I have to ask...

That's what I was thinking too but it is permanent if you leave it there... Permanently. The only difference really is that there is no permanent damage to the mag body.
Sad part is with the current Canadian mentality I doubt it'll work: it's about what they say you could do not about what you actually do.

Permanent in any sense of the word really means "not easily removable".

So if you want to plastic weld your base plate that would work. ( I know because I was sold some Glock extended mags that way) But if it is easily removable, or the base plate opens (and can be replaced) then it would be a prohib item.

And yeah US laws are getting worse... but other then the old crazy Cali laws, they're mostly better.

As for Magpul... it all has to do with $$... and they really don't make that much in our market to warrant manufacture of 5 round magazines.

Honestly. What I would like to see done, is somebody just making "floor plates" that would mount onto the LAR mags that would make it look like a regular mag. (GRR)

It says right on the magpul sight that in the states that have mag limits that their limiter was not legal

Canada is not a state of the USA as far as I know...
the reason I tough it was still worth mentionning is because of some hunthing regulations that requires mag limitation where a plugged magtube in a shotgun is good enough to comply, but I do realise this is different.
