10 shot 7600 mags.

As that mag will also function/fit in a 7400 semi-auto, I believe that would make it prohibited. There were the factory ones and aftermarket polymer mags also. Cabelas used to sell the poly ones.

Really is a stupid law. You can have ten in a handgun mag and only five in a rifle mag. Makes no sense to me.

I visited a Cabelas in Portland Maine this summer where they sold the 10 round mags, I think they were marked for the 7400 and the 7600.

They're prohibited unless you block them to 5 rounds, because Remington specifically markets them and marks them as being for the 7400 as well, which is a semi, and so the legal asshats have declared that it is a magazine designed and manufactured for a center-fire semi auto. :(

The mag itself isn't prohibited...Using it in a 740,742,7400 would be though...

Wrong.

A magazine itself is either a prohibited device or it is not.

Whether it is in a pump rifle, or in a semi, or in your pocket DOES NOT change the legal status of the magazine itself.

Taking a legal 10 round magazine designed and manufactured for a bolt action rifle, or a pistol, for example, and using it in a centerfire semi-auto rifle, IS NOT a crime and DOES NOT suddenly make the magazine a prohibited device. Just look at all the legal carbines out there using 10 round pistol mags.

The RCMP have actually released a formal memo explaining all of this (So the public and their own members enforcing the law are clear on it.), and it is available on the RCMP/Registry website.

Please be sure you know what you are talking about when giving legal related advice.

So is there a 10 shot mag specifically marked and sold for the 7600?

Designed specifically for a 760/7600...Marked for model and caliber..

Would it fall under this?

''However, magazines designed to contain centrefire cartridges and designed or manufactured for use in a rifle other than a semiautomatic or automatic rifle, do not have a regulated capacity''
