10 shot M14 mags

Is there any more info on this statement? I wonder how they are being denied the right to produce a legal product?

Canadian companies are being told that .50 Beowulf mags are just 5.56mm mags with an inappropriate label on them, even if they're physically and dimensionally different from a 5.56mm mag. The RCMP hasn't said anything about AIA Enfield mags to my knowledge.

I'm guessing they never will, they don't always fit and function they are not all that available. Not worth their time.

sorry, forget i said that.

i just went and had a look, the Ruger ones do not have a hole in the front, i was thinking of the Ruger mini 14 ones.
the scout ones are the same as the AIA ones shown above.

Through lots of viewing on here , there was one thread(Search beowulf if you want) I have read different companies come forward about being denied, one had the manufacturing completely set up for the beowulf mags and were denied when they sent in the mag they had made, sorry bud, I cannot remember the name of it, but I know they were denied. As far as the AIA 10 shot mags, I believe two distributors (Sponsors on this site) Were denied, they can chime in if what I say is true, if you believe me or not , that is irrelevant to me.

But what you are really asking is: "Why are they being denied the right to produce a CONTROLLED product" It's not just "Legal" You are not allowed to just whip up some mags cuz you want to, when its firearm related (For that matter, any controlled product) The government has to be involved and give it an OK. And when its magazines like this, they KNOW what they are for and why people want them.

But no I did not save any of the threads, so your just going to have to search it, take my word for it, or don't. Bottom line is , IF you are lucky enough to find them , they will be so expensive that the guns prices on EE will look like a boxing day sale compared to the prices of said magazines.

Well as far as attempts at aftermarket BW mags are concerned. I believe there is no beef with authentic BW mags made for AA.

Designed and manufactured for. So if a company sells them for the AIA M10 rifle it's for the AIA M10 rifle regardless of what someone else puts them in. If it's made for both then it's differen't but it's not.

There is no legal requirement for squat as they are not controlled goods in any way shape or form unless they go over the permited capacity then it's a prohibited device. That's it.

If they advertise hey it works in both then the RCMP go hey it must be made for both. The trick is just say AIA M10 rifle and anything else it might work it might not it wasn't made to work in something else.

Hmm, you should e-mail the one company who was trying to make Beowulf mags and let them know that then. They were ready to manufacture them and were denied. They were complying, it was a 5 shot mag, but yeah, send them an e-mail and let em know they can fire the operation back up since they need no permission.

You should also E-mail Zahal.org and let them know they are good to ship in the 10 round mags for the CSA VZ58, since they are made for a handgun, stamped as such, and its not a controlled device, let em know they are good to go.

What about modifying the M305 receiver to accept bolt-action (like Accuracy International) mags? There shouldn't be any legal problem with it, as one can buy AR magwell adapters for VZ/CZ semiauto rifles.

There is no problem with modifying your gun however you want it (except for making it full auto or into a restricted).

Magwell adapters are also fine.
