Million candle power, rechargeable from 12vdc and 110 ac. I remember when these were a c-note, bought one just in case.

i have a 2 million candle power light, it actually has two bulbs, the full power one and then a little one when you don't need such a bright light. it is interesting to go out the door at night with one, nothing can hide from it. battery life is quite good, although it does dim after a while.

Jacklighting without rifles in the truck it not illegal - and it's VERY cool. I was amazed the first time I went out just how many deer are out there at night.

It's a good way to scout for hunting locations for the next morning. :)

let the pit lamping begin!!! :D

we had some guys on quads light our tent up at 2am in chetwynd last weekend. two guys, in boxers, holding guns crawling out of the tent and they ####ed off

over the years ...ive bought two of these ,just to use around the camps..they not worth the price of free deer poop..the 24 hour charge is useless after about half hour use..
the ole saying:eek:..............
you get what you payed for;)

Maybe not in alberta but most places it is, read the defineition of "hunting" and most times it is very broad and not restricted to activites leading to animals being killed. "Pursuing" is usually the term.

The shooter does'nt need to be anywhere near the light and any CO that finds you shining bambi in the eyes has to wonder if your partner is somewhere about with a rifle.

According to the box, 1 charge is good for 30 mins. It uses a SLA battery dunno how good it is at that price. I think it may come in handy following a blood trail- it happens. Mainly bought it for coming back from fishing late in the evening after a primo Walleye bite, the shoreline looks the same without a light. But yip the first thing my buddy said was F ing jack-lighter.

That is why I bought mine. Fish a lot at night too.

Hey for $10 (if you keep it charged, once a month), worth it IMO.

I have a buddy in MT who night blasts rabbits on his farm with a similar lamp. Also for night plinking if you shoot your handgun along the beam you'll see the bullet fly clear as hell, surprising how flat a .357 mag flies.
