Another vote for the Nikon Monarchs (I think they are M5s now?). They have been a goto in this price range for a decade or two now.

Pentax binos are also great value but I prefer the Nikon... but that is my eyes.

Athlon continues to punch well above their price point but they tend to be heavier for the given dimensions. The UHD glass is definitely better when looking for fine detail at distance... but this glass is heavier.

Oh I see the M7’s are made in Japan . Range of price of about $150.00 or more than the M5’s

I'm not sure they are made in Japan.

I really like my Ziess Terra ED's. They're definitely a step up from my Leupold BX-1 Mackenzie HD's.

In that price range I’d buy the best set of vortex I could find. They’re pretty good when new and when they go wonky just go trade for new again.
I’d never knowingly take a chance on a rifle scope but a binocular failure is not usually catastrophic to a hunt.

8X42: Delta Chase $409, Delta Forest $199. We have a lot of binos and have used many and these are the best for price by far.
10X42 Delta Titanium HD $649.
