$100,000 titanium AR

$100,000 seems kinda steep.

I make titanium stuff at work sometimes. It's no big deal.

This is me: (boring video) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pAG0k6HsW-I
Welding is cheap, complex machining is expensive. Titanium eats cutters and the cutters are expensive. As well, they likely use a more expensive grade of titanium. Plus its the only one so they can charge whatever they want.

IMO titanium is nice, light looks cool But it is also very brittle. If there is any crack or weak sport in it it will break 100% of the time.

It's definitely more prone to stress fracturing than steel is (for pure titanium, even 6/7 series Aluminum is less stress fracture prone), but it's also very strong for it's weight, and I doubt you'd ever have any problems with an AR platform built out of it. But the Aluminum is more than strong enough for it's purposes anyways, so the Titanium is really just a "cool" gee whiz feature. They may also use a different grade or even an alloy, haven't read too much into it though.
