$100 AR Lower, Thoughts?

Not interested at all. Good quality AR lowers can already be had for a decent price. Why cheap out on some unknown and unproven chintz?

The difference between the cheapest you can buy in Canada and a full milspec Stag lower is what? $60? The same price as 100 rounds of factory ammo or two magazines.

Just saying.

And? They're both forged out from the same factory dies and 'milspec' on a lower just means slight different buffer tubes and stock options. And as far as I know practically all current production ARs are produced to the .154" FCG hole size.

Looks great. I'd buy one in a second.
All a lower receiver does is hold the trigger group and have a hole to put a mag into.
All the forces happen in the chamber on the upper and back into the buffer tube.

The brand of raw forging is not important (Cerro, Alcoa, Cardinal, etc). Who machines it is, also who anodizes it, and how. That is what is important.

(This is assuming we are talking US manufactured current milspec 7071-T6 temper aluminum raw forgings, and not mystery aluminum Asian cast knockoffs).

The lower reciever locates all of the trigger components. As pin location controls sear engagement the lower reciever is part of the trigger. IMHO.

Milspec goes deeper than a few dimensions on the reciever extension. Milcerts on the aluminum, forging and heat treatment. Inspection rates and specs during manufacturing, surface prep and finishing.
