Anybody load this bullet in the little Savage case? Looking for opinions of the performance on deer-sized game as well as any proven load data. I have a few to burn up, hoping to stumble upon a nice load.

Swift doesn't have any 250 Savage data in their #1 manual that I have access to :( Google isn't turning up much.

Why do you require "Swift" load data? Use any published data for 100 gr bullets, start low and proceed until desired accuracy and performance is achieved. Most published load data for this cartridge is limited to 45,000 CUP.

Win 760 is all I use in my Rem 700 classic .250 with mag primers and 22-250 FL sized brass. My load is heavy so not for anything other than modern BA rifles.Shooting Sierra 100gr SP's into pretty much one hole. Not knowing your reloading experience, take this with a grain of salt.Seat a Scirocco into an empty case long, color the bullet with a sharpie.Try to chamber it.The throat/lead where the rifling starts will leave a mark on the blackened bullet.Color it again and repeat seating it deeper until it finally chambers without touching the rifling. All is good ,except make certain it fits and feed through the magazine. Now proceed with experimental charges for 100gr bullet data.Harold [IMR 4895 was also acceptable but not as stellar as the Win 760]

I don't 'require' it, I simply 'want' Swift load data. 'Cause I can ;)
