The product doesn't really exist yet. They have a small number of working prototypes... still doing the testing on them. They are months away from bringing this to market, but we have spoken to them about it and agreed to import them into Canada if they can work out the production issues.

Don't ask me about pricing yet... they are throwing suggested US retail prices around ($249 to $299) but I don't think they really have that firmed up themselves yet... and they can't give us any firm wholesale costs yet so we can't even guess at Canadian pricing at this point.

The gun is an alloy frame, with an optional stainless version and a titanium version planned.

All the parts from your Glock frame drop into this new alloy frame. There are some nice design improvements. One is the gun will come with several different backstrap inserts to allow you to customize the grip to your hand (sort of like the Walther did).

One of the other huge differences was the trigger feel... because the trigger and other components are in a metal frame there is no spring or bounce to the trigger pull whatsoever... extremely crisp... very nice actually... and it was a standard Glock 5.5 that I was testing.

There will be colours (another interesting feature).

We hope to have more info in the next couple months.

Mark.

We have done plenty of work with CCF in the past and are also going to have these available once they are in actual production.

We are working on a deal to ahve complete metal "Glock" guns available as well.

Oh Boy, I can just see a series of CCF lowers with Caspian uppers.

Might even make me buy a Glock.

Ooooooh...now that's intriguing! Combine the already low bore axis with, say, another 10 or 15 ounces of weight and you'd really be talking! Wouldn't be much of a carry gun but what a range gun!

I got to ask why? Was there a problem with the poly frames? Or is this just a metal is better than plastic mindset?

A lot of guys just don't like poly. Also like the man said, poly has to give at some point, and all things being equal, a metal frame makes for a more solid foundation. When you build with sponge, how do you get rid of the mush?

I don't think we NEED a metal framed Glock, but what's NEED got to do with anything!!!!!!!!!!

Didn't Caspian make a metal frame for the Glock? I'm sure I remember seeing a picture of one. I know they made a small batch of slides, because I tried to buy one but they'd sold out.

For me, it would mostly be the added weight to provide extra stability—the light weight is probably what I like least about the Glock. I also don't like the "feel" of the polymer material—I find it quite slippery. This can be addressed by Hogue Handalls or A-Grips, but I do prefer the feel of a steel frame. Could this be the best of both worlds?

I love my Glock just the way it is. :D I like the polymer frame and I like the finger grooves.

Having said that, it's great to see more options come out. Some guys don't like the polymer.

Plastic and latex are great! especially when the girls wear them tight... ;)
